Cabinet decides to review public holidays

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: After facing criticism from several quarters for not announcing a public holiday on Prithivi Jayanti, the birthday of Late King Prithivi Narayan Shah, the government on Wednesday decided to review public holidays.

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: After facing criticism from several quarters for not announcing a public holiday on Prithivi Jayanti, the birthday of Late King Prithivi Narayan Shah, the government on Wednesday decided to review public holidays.



A meeting of the Council of Ministers today directed the Ministry of Home Affairs to review the yearly public holidays, according to Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Karki.
