Buddha Air brings in new aircraft, commercial flights from March 1

KATHMANDU, Feb 7: Buddha Air, the country’s leading private sector airline, has added a new aircraft to its fleet.

KATHMANDU, Feb 7: Buddha Air, the country’s leading private sector airline, has added a new aircraft to its fleet.



The new plane, a 72-seater manufactured by French aircraft manufacturer ATR landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport at around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon.



Buddha Air said the new aircraft which cost nearly a billion rupees will start making commercial flights from March 1.



This is the fourth aircraft of the ATR72 series in Buddha Air’s fleet. With this Buddha Air has nine aircraft in its fleet.



“We have brought in another aircraft of the ATR72-500 series,” Rupesh Joshi, the company’s Marketing Director, told Republica Online, “After completing procedural requirements of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, we hope to start commercial flights from the new aircraft.”
