ROLPA, Feb 13: An unidentified group has detonated Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) in Ncell Tower at Kochang, Madi Rural Municipality of the district.
The incident took place on the eve of the anniversary of the Maoist insurgency. The battery store room has been destructed by the explosion.
One killed in bomb blast at Nakhkhu Ncell tower
A district level leader of Netra Bikram Chand-led Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has claimed the explosion. He said, “We had planned to hit in one of the districts among Rolpa, Pyuthan, Salyan. It took place at Rolpa.”
According to the District Police Inspector Sudarshan Panthi, the detail about the destruction is yet to be identified. Police has already started investigation regarding the incident. However, according to CDO Dr Dijan Bhattarai, the tower is still in operation.
