KATHMANDU, Oct 9: For the upcoming elections, Nepali Congress has nominated National Planning Commission (NPC) Vice Chairman Bishwa Poudel from Chitwan-1 and State Minister Umesh Shrestha from Chitwan-2.
Swarnim Wagle, the former vice-chairman of the NPC, was also recommended from Chitwan-1.

Similarly, UML's Surendra Pandey is contesting from Chitwan-1 and Krishna Bhakta Pokharel from Chitwan-2. Ravi Lamichhane, coordinator of the National Independent Party, is also preparing to contest from Chitwan-2. Dr Bhojraj Adhikari has got a ticket from CPN (Maoist Center) from constituencies no 3.
