During a meeting with representatives from the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, Director General Poudel emphasized that clear information on the imported goods will foster a climate that supports lawful business practices. This labeling requirement will extend to the import of automobile spare parts as well.

Poudel acknowledged the potential challenges in implementing this system for certain automobile spare parts but assured that the department is working on developing appropriate procedures to address this issue.

In the discussion with the NADA team, Director General Poudel assured that importers and dealers themselves would be responsible for managing the labeling process, alleviating concerns for ordinary retailers.

On Friday, a delegation from NADA, led by NADA President Dhruv Thapa, held talks with the Customs Department to further explore and clarify the implementation of this new requirement. Thapa expressed the need for clarity regarding the specific areas where this system will be applied and highlighted the potential difficulties in implementing it for certain automobile spare parts.
