Bad weather hampers ballot box collection in Humla

KATHMANDU, May 15: Bad weather has affected collection of ballot boxes in Humla.

KATHMANDU, May 15: Bad weather has affected collection of ballot boxes in Humla. 



Election Commission (EC) said helicopters deployed for collecting ballots have failed to collect ballot boxes from the grounds.

"Weather is not good. So, we have not been able to collect ballot boxes from there," said EC Spokesperson Surya Prasad Sharma.


Spokesperson Sharma said the Commission is trying to collect ballot boxes today itself but in a vain. "Ballot boxes will be collected tomorrow in case we fail to do so today," he said.


The EC has collected ballot boxes from mountainous districts.  According to the EC officials vote counting has began in 250 local units.
