Ayer appointed as a member of NEA Board

KATHMANDU, Jan 2: Engineer Ratan Bahadur Ayer has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).

KATHMANDU, Jan 2: Engineer Ratan Bahadur Ayer has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).



Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Shakti Bahadur Basnet decided to appoint Ayer as a member of the Board of Directors of the Authority on Monday.

According to the Secretariat of Minister Basnet, Ayer of Amargadhi Municipality-4 of Dadeldhura has been appointed for four years. Ayre has a master's degree in civil engineering and has more than 29 years of experience as an engineer in the NEA.


According to Basnet's Secretariat, Ayer was appointed from among the non-governmental people who have expertise in the electricity sector.


With the appointment of Ayer, the Board of Directors of the NEA has been completed. The board of directors of the NEA has eight members. The Minister of Energy is the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
