BIRATNAGAR, Aug 17: Shikha Ghimire of Biratngar-13 was making preparations to go to Australia together with her beloved.
She had done a court marriage with Dinesh Bhattarai a week ago to this effect. To her misfortune, her own lover with whom she was planning to leave for Australia gruesomely murdered her.

Dinesh and Shikha left Biratnagar bazaar for Belbari. When they reached a turning point of Sidraha, Dinesh attacked her with a sharp weapon and cudgel, said District Police Office, Morang.
According to Chief of Morang District Police Office, Manoj KC, Dinesh and Shikha had left Biratnagar bazaar on scooter this afternoon. When they reached Gramthan-3 Sidraha, they entered a cowshed near a canal for talks.
As the talks were underway, Dinesh took out a sharp knife and murdered Shikha in cold blood before dumping her body into the canal.
Locals arrested Dinesh while he was absconding after taking Shika’s lief and handed him over to the police. Police said they are investigating the case.
