At least six killed in bus accident in Ramechhap

KATHMANDU, July 5: At least six people have been killed when a bus on its way to Kathmandu from Ramechhap met with an accident on Tuesday. The accident took place at the border of Sunapati Rural Muinicipality-5 and Khandadevi Rural Municipality-1 of Ramechhap this morning.

KATHMANDU, July 5: At least six people have been killed when a bus on its way to Kathmandu from Ramechhap met with an accident on Tuesday. The accident took place at the border of Sunapati Rural Muinicipality-5 and Khandadevi Rural Municipality-1 of Ramechhap this morning. 



Chief District Officer of Ramechhap Deepak Kumar Pahadi said that many casualties have been reported in the accident. "Rescue work is underway, while at least six people are reported dead so far," he said.

He said efforts were being made to rescue the critically injured by a helicopter. He said the death toll was expected to rise and that rescue work is currently underway.


Gita Bista Chaulagain, vice-chairperson of Sunapati Rural Municipality, who was present at the spot, said that work was underway to collect the bodies of the deceased and rescue the injured and take them to the hospital.
