KATHMANDU, May 14: An arrest warrant has been issued against former Member of Parliament (MP) Angtawa Sherpa in connection with the fake Bhutanese refugee scam.
According to sources at the Kathmandu Police Office, an arrest warrant was obtained from the district court against Sherpa who originally hails from Ramechhap.

It is alleged that Sherpa extorted money from various people in the district saying that he will send them to America. Similarly, it is also said that after this case became public, he went to meet the accused Sanu Bhandari in prison.
