BHAKTAPUR, July 24: Three people were killed when a tree fell and crushed a bus and a scooter in Sallaghari in Bhaktapur on Sunday noon. It is estimated that 15 people were injured in the accident.

BHAKTAPUR, July 24: Three people were killed when a tree fell and crushed a bus and a scooter in Sallaghari in Bhaktapur on Sunday noon. It is estimated that 15 people were injured in the accident.

Two people in the mini bus and one person on the scooter died when the tree fell and crushed the vehicles running on the road. According to Raju Karki, Head of Traffic Police Office, Sallaghari, Bhaktapur, the only one of deceased has been identified and he is Bisesh Kharbuja, 25, of Bhaktapur Municipality-2. 


Karki said that a minibus (Ba 2 B 3584) and a scooter (Ba 61 P 3978) coming from Kathmandu to Bhaktapur were hit by a fallen tree. According to him, there were two dozen passengers in the minibus.


 It is said that the incident took place around 12 noon.
