Accused of indecent behavior, Lumbini’s State Minister for Health Bimala Wali resigns

KATHMANDU, June 29: Lumbini Province’s Minister of State for Health, Bimala Khatri Wali has resigned from her post after being accused of abusing a person's wife and daughter at their home.

KATHMANDU, June 29: Lumbini Province’s Minister of State for Health, Bimala Khatri Wali has resigned from her post after being accused of abusing a person's wife and daughter at their home.



According to sources, she submitted her resignation to Chief Minister Kul Prasad KC. Wali was accused of assaulting the wife and daughter of YCL leader Ekraj Basnet at his house.

The provincial government had formed an investigation committee to investigate the incident. The committee members returned after conducting an on-site study. Wali contested from the constituency no. 3 (b) of Dang in the by-election after her husband Uttar Kumar Wali was killed in a road accident.
