MANANG, March 9: One Dutch national and another local Nepali guide were killed after an avalanche in Manang district.
Police Inspector at District Police Office Manang, Shrawan Kumar B.K, told Republica Online that deceased have been identified as Vincend Jan Bloen from the Netherlands and Ajaya Dhakal from Dhading district.

"The duo lost their lives after an avalanche on Friday. We have recovered their bodies," he said. The local authorities are airlifting the dead bodies to Kathmandu shortly.
The incident occurred at Nishyang of Kyangdi Rural Municipality in Manang when they were on their way to Annapurna trekking route.
