KATHMANDU, April 7: The Nepal Police has selected 74, 500 temporary police in view of security for the upcoming local polls slated for May 14.
Of the total selected, 61,200 are men while 13, 300 are women.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sarbendra Khanal, spokesperson of the Nepal Police, Of the total 75,000 vacancies announced for the temporary police, as many as 172, 000 candidates had filed applications.
The results of Jumla is yet to be published.
