47 unauthorised arms submitted to police in Gandaki state

POKHARA, April 26: A total of 47 unauthorized arms have been submitted so far to the police administration in the Gandaki state. Lamjung is ahead of the six districts, out of 11, in the state from where the highest number (17) of arms possessed unlawfully and without renewing the license have been collected.

POKHARA, April 26: A total of 47 unauthorized arms have been submitted so far to the police administration in the Gandaki state. Lamjung is ahead of the six districts, out of 11, in the state from where the highest number (17) of arms possessed unlawfully and without renewing the license have been collected.

Similarly, 14 sets of arms have been collected from Kaski, eight from Syangja, four from Gorkha, three from Baglung and one from Tanahu, State police spokesperson Gobinda Puri said. No one has so far approached the respective District Police Offices in remaining five districts Parbat, Myagdi, Manang, Mustang and Nawalparasi (east) with illegal arm(s).


The submission follows the Home Ministry’s direction that came on March 15 towards that end with the deadline of 35 days.  RSS
