PALPA, Dec 13: Four people have been killed in a jeep accident in the district on Thursday evening. The ill-fated vehicle (Lu 1 JA 2653) heading to Bahadurpur from Jalpa skidded off some 500 meters from the road at Argi Danda at around 8 pm, according to the ward chairperson Nir Bahadur Saru of Jalpa.

All four were dead on the spot, according to Saru. However, the identity of the deceased is still to be ascertained. Five other injured have been rushed to Mission Hospital in Tansen. Local along with police are involved in the rescue effort.
