34 political parties and organizations to protest against MCC today

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: As many as 34 political parties and organizations are set to hold protests against the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement on Friday.

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: As many as 34 political parties and organizations are set to hold protests against the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement on Friday. The MCC grant agreement is to be discussed at the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting called for today. 



The political parties have decided to organize a protest from Matighar to Koteshwar in the capital. They have arranged plans to surround the parliament building in Baneshwar from three sides.

CPN (Maoist Center), Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP), Nepali Party for Nepal, CPN (Revolutionary Maoists), six communist parties including CPN (MASAL), Nepal Communist Party, CPN (ML), CPN (Unified Socialist) affiliated organizations and CPN (Maoist) are among the political parties taking part in the protests today.
