33 Nepalis among 67 on board ill-fated US Bangladesh Airlines plane

KATHMANDU, Mar 12: Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has stated that 33 among those on board the US Bangladesh Airlines aircraft that crashed while landing at Tribhuvan International Airport are Nepalis.

KATHMANDU, Mar 12: Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has stated that 33 among those on board the US Bangladesh Airlines aircraft that crashed while landing at Tribhuvan International Airport are Nepalis.

Sixty-seven people including four members of the crew were aboard the plane. The aircraft with the call sign BS 211 on Dhaka-Kathmandu flight crashed at 2.18 pm today. The plane met the accident towards the east of the runway course of landing. 


Rescue teams of the Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force were immediately mobilized for rescue and taking the fire under control after the accident. RSS
