BARA, June 30: District Police Office Bara has seized a large quantity of illegal narcotics from a truck with an Indian number plate.
Bara police held a press conference on Friday to inform about the recovered truck with drugs. Superintendent of Police Hobindra Bogati said in a press conference that the truck bearing the number BR 25 GA 1458 was seized from Jitpur Simara sub-metropolitan city-7 along with 262 kg of illegal drugs. Bogati said that the team deployed from Area Police Office Jitpur seized the truck which was stopped in Jitpur market area.

SP Bogati that the police intercepted the vehicle on a tip-off that drugs were being smuggled in a truck with Indian number plate coming from Hetauda to Birgunj and were being taken to India.
He said that after nine bags full of drugs were found on the truck during a security check. The driver of the truck fled the scene and the police have launched a manhunt for the suspect.
