2.5 million voters added in five years

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: According to the Election Commission Nepal, 17.9 million voters will be eligible to cast their ballots in the local level election to be held on May 13.

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: According to the Election Commission Nepal, 17.9 million voters will be eligible to cast their ballots in the local level election to be held on May 13.

Speaking at a press conference organized by the commission on Sunday, Shaligram Sharma Poudel, spokesperson for the commission, said that 17.9 million voters have been estimated for the election according to the date of reaching the age of 18 till May 12.


Similarly, it is estimated that 2.472 million more voters will be added to the list of voters for the local level election to be held on May 13 than in the previous local level election.
