DANG, April 5: A teacher has been accused of molesting a 16-year-old girl who was staying in a hostel in Dang.
District Police Office Tulsipur reported that a 16-year-old female student who was preparing for her SEE exams while staying in the hostel of Shivshakti Mavi Dhanauri, located in Shantinagar Rural Municipality-7 of Dang, was assaulted.
Teacher arrested on charges of sexually abusing girl student
According to Police Inspector Parbat KC of Tulsipur, the student lodged a complaint saying that teacher Khumanand Poudel had molested her around 8 pm on Monday.
In the complaint lodged by the victim, it is mentioned that while she was preparing for her SEE exams by staying in the hostel, she was called and molested on Monday night. The victim girl filed a complaint to the police on Tuesday with the help of her father.
Paudel is the head teacher of the same school.
After the complaint, the accused teacher has absconded. The police said that they are searching for him.
