KATHMANDU, Nov 28: The police have arrested 15 supporters of Durga Prasai on the charge of pelting stones at the police.



Stones were pelted on the police during a protest at Gaushala in Kathmandu on Monday.

Among those arrested are Srinivas Acharya, a religious leader, and personal secretary of Prasai, Bina Yonjan Thapa. Demonstrations have been taking place in Kathmandu for a few days in response to the call of Prasai.


Bhojraj Tamilsina, Nikesh Bastola, Hari Bishkune, Deepak Goswami, Devendra Karki, Bhuwan Pariyar, Yadunath Sigdel, Raju Tamang, Yu Bahadur Rijal, Yuvin Shrestha, Sujan Khadka, Dipesh Khadka, and Meharman Basnet were arrested.


The police said that they were arrested from various places including Gaushala.
