Chitwan, Sept 10: A truck driver died and 20 others were injured in a road mishap at Piple in Rapti Municipality-3 along East-West highway this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Hemant Khadka, 30, of Bara. He was the driver of a truck (Na 6 Kha 6793).
The accident took place when the Narayangadh bound truck (Na 6 Kha 6793), bus (Na 5 Kha 3743) heading towards Kalaiya from Kathmandu and another truck (Na 4 Kha 8343) collided with each other at 7:15am after both front tires of the truck (Na 6 Kha 6793) got punctured, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.
Khadka died while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur. The injured are receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College. Of the injured, condition of five is serious. RSS
