RABIRAJ, Feb 13: Two women were killed in an attack by a wild elephant at the Koshi tappu wildlife reserve in Kanchanpur.

The women were reportedly heading towards the reserve to collect firewood when they came under the attack of the wild animal all of a sudden.


Manju Shah,37, and Durga Devi Mukhiya,45, of Kanchanpur municipality-5 died in the incident, Area Police Office, Kanchanpur said. Budhanidevi Sada, who was also together, managed to flee and save herself.
