Two more COVID-19 related deaths recorded in Nepal

One each COVID-19 death recorded at BPKIHS and Janakpur COVID-19 Hospital

KATHMANDU, Sept 14: A COVID-19 patient from Morang at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) and another COVID-19 patient from Siraha at Janakpur COVID-19 Hospital died on Sunday night.

A 60-year-old man from Dhanpaalthan-6 in Morang district and another 26-year-old old female from Karjanha Municipality-2 in Siraha district succumbed to COVID-19.

According to Spokesperson at BPKIHS, Dharan, Dr Nidesh Sapkota, the deceased man had tested positive for the virus on September 11. “He was not suffering from any kind of chronic diseases,” he added.  

Likewise, the deceased female was admitted at Janakpur Provincial Hospital on Friday after she complained of breathing difficulties. She had undergone PCR test on Sunday and her results had turned out positive the same day. Doctors said she was also not suffering from any kind of chronic diseases.

A total of 11 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Siraha district as of Monday morning.
