Nepal registers second victory in Women T20 Smash Cricket Tournament

KATHMANDU, Jan 13: Nepal registered its second consecutive victory in the match of the Women T20 Smash Cricket Tournament held in Thailand, on Sunday. Nepal defeated Malaysia by 6 wickets meeting the target of 62 runs posted by the rival in 16.2 overs with a loss of 4 wickets.

KATHMANDU, Jan 13: Nepal registered its second consecutive victory in the match of the Women T20 Smash Cricket Tournament in Thailand on Sunday.



Nepal defeated Malaysia by 6 wickets meeting the target of 62 runs posted by the rival in 16.2 overs with a loss of 4 wickets.

Roma Thapa smashed 20 runs from 24 balls securing victory for Nepal. Sita Rana Magar, Mamta Chaudhary and Kajol Shrestha made 15, 9 and 6 runs respectively for Nepal.


Earlier, Malaysia won the toss and elected to bat first. Malaysia managed to collect only 61 runs from 19.3 overs losing all the wickets.


Sarita Rana Magar took highest 4 wickets whereas Neri Thapa, Indu Barma and Kabita Kunwar took equal one wicket each for Nepal.
