Govt extends the deadline to get registered in SSF by one month

KATHMANDU, Oct 24: The government has extended the deadline to get registered in a contribution-based Social Security Fund (SSF) by one month.

KATHMANDU, Oct 24: The government has extended the deadline  to get registered in a contribution-based Social Security Fund (SSF) by one month.



Organizing a press meet in Kathmandu on Thursday, SSF Chief Shyam Raj Adhikari informed that the deadline has been extended in order to include a huge number of employers and employees who have yet to join this program.

The deadline to get enrolled in the scheme had expired on October 17.


According to the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, 8818 employers and 100968  employees have been enlisted in SSF so far.


On the occasion, Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Gokarna Bista urged one and all to join the program as the government has introduced it to realize the dream of prosperity in the country. “The government will not backtrack from its commitment to executing the program,” stated Bista.


The government has implemented the contribution-based Social Security Program since July 17 this year.
