KATHMANDU, June 14: At least 37 people were injured in a bus accident that took place at Sunsari Koshi Rural Municipality section of the East-West Highway on Monday night.

The condition of two of the injured is critical. The injured are being treated at District Hospital, Inaruwa, BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan, and other local health institutions, according to the Traffic Police Office, Itahari.
The bus (Na 5 Kha 6564) was heading from east to west when it met with the accident at 11.10PM on Monday. The accident took place at Koshi Rural Municipality-7 after the driver lost control of the vehicle and it tumbled on the road. According to the police, the accident occured due to overspeeding.
