APF registers second win

KATHMANDU, May 27: The Armed Police Force (APF) registered its second win in the Prime Minister's Cup one-day national cricket tournament.

KATHMANDU, May 27: The Armed Police Force (APF) registered its second win in the Prime Minister's Cup one-day national cricket tournament. In the match held today at the TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, APF defeated Sudur Paschim State by 3 wickets.

Batting first after winning the toss, Sudur Paschim posted a total of 125 runs in 37.1 overs, losing all its wickets. Lokesh Bam was the top scorer with 30 runs followed by Bipin Rawal (21) and Khadak Bohara (19) and Roshan Adhikari (16). For APF, Abhinash Bohara took 2 wickets while Prithu Baskota, Sharad Bheshwakar and Bhuvan Karki took one wicket each. Captain Baskota, who also scored 32 (not out) was adjudged the man-of-the-match. Sharad Bheswakar (26) and Sandip Jora (22) were other notable contributors.


With the win, APF has garnered 4 points in Group A. In the first match, APF had defeated State no. 3 by 41 runs.
