KATHMANDU, Nov 19: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has sent a message of congratulations to State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on the landslide victory of National League for Democracy (NLD) in the recent general elections.
In his message, Prime Minister Oli has said that the result of the elections is a testimony to the faith of the people of Myanmar in the able leadership of Her Excellency Suu Kyi and the popularity of her party among the people, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

While recalling the State Counsellor's successful visit to Nepal in November 2018, Oli has expressed hope that the bonds of friendship and close cultural ties existing between Nepal and Myanmar will be further strengthened in the years to come, the ministry said.
