KATHMANDU, Nov 14: Vehicle of CPN-UML’s Bhojpur candidate Sherdhan Rai was ambushed by 14 cadres of CPN-Maoist (Revolutionary) leader Biplav at 10 am today.

Rai’s vehicle was ambushed at Gumba of Tyamkemaiyu Rural Municipality-7. While Rai escaped unhurt, his vehicle, a Land Rover was completely destroyed.
The police fired 21 rounds at the cadres. Rai’s personal security officer was injured in the incident. Police have denied commenting on the incident.
