Gurung arrested for spreading rumor about strike

KATHMANDU Mar 8: Ranjit Gurung has been arrested for allegedly circulating a post on social networking sites claiming that there will strike on Friday and Saturday.



Ranjit Gurung, who claimed himself as a member of Janamukti Sena, was arrested by a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, from New Road of the Capital on Thursday afternoon.

According to SSP Biswo Raj Pokharel of the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, Gurung was arrested on the charge of spreading rumors about the strike.


He has been kept at the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu. According to the police, there is no any strike on Friday and Saturday.
